summer12013Hey there Summer Rec Families and Friends!

Today was a new and exciting experience! It was a pleasure getting to meet all the new faces, and get to know what makes each of the participants unique. We spent the first part of the afternoon learning names and favorite summer hobbies. Many of the participants, along with the facilitators, agreed that swimming, eating lots of food, and just being plain SILLY are our top favorites! We spent some time in the gym playing different variations of tag, we went to the park, and even recruited new friends to join Summer Recreation 2013! Overall, I must say today was a very successful first day of camp, I am very thrilled to facilitate a superb 6-weeks with you all!

Our daily schedule will look something like the table below. Tentative daily activities and field trips for the following week will be sent home on Thursdays, posted on the Summer Recreation blog, and reminded to participants. That way your families can plan accordingly for weather and activities. Field trip changes/information will be posted most readily on the blog, and cancellations will be followed up with a call on the morning of the field trip.
