Life is not so sleepy in this bedroom community. We are working hard to create events and provide equipment to bring people out for some fun.

Shake your booty off at Zumba classes at 6:30 on Thursday nights at the Brooklyn Community Building. Instructor Ashley Anderson proved she could fill the house at her Zumbathon in January. There was not a dry forehead in the room by the time she and her cohorts were done working out the crowd. Her Thursday night classes are not quite that intense, but just as fun. You might find yourself dancing a little salsa on the way home.

Our final movie night is coming up on March 2 as we present The Odd Life of Timothy Green. It is great to see people coming to our free family movies. Next time you stop at Brooklyn Mobil, thank them for being a partner in this event.

Brooklyn Recreation is gearing up for a busy season of events coming up. We are looking for new members to help us bring the fun. If you are interested in being part of planning events and having a say, contact us at recreation@brooklynwi.gov.

Cheers,
