Today we beat the heat by starting out day with some acting games in the gym.  The kids played stature where you have to pretend to be a stature and embody a character (dancer, swimmer, runner, ect.).  The kids then wanted to burn off some steam so we played a few rounds of tag.  Too cool off from the heat, we finally finished Over the Hedge in the basement of the rec center.

Today was a beautiful warm summer day, so what better way to enjoy it than some outdoor fun!  We walked to the nearest field and played drip drip drop.  The game is similar to duck duck goose, but you drip water or drop water.  The kids cooled off, had a great time, and were dry by our walk back to the community center.  Back in the air conditioning we played frogger and built our own obstacle courses.  The kids ha a great time working together and racing like on a game show!

As a reminder the bus will be leaving at 1:10 for our field trip to Babcock ice creamery tomorrow!  You can send your kids with up to 8 dollars spending money at the creamery.
